Macedonia2025 Networking Reception in Toronto

On behalf of Mr. John I. Bitove Jr. – MK2025 Co-Founder and Board Member, it is our pleasure to invite you to Macedonia 2025 Networking Reception in Toronto on June 11th.  This event will be held at the beautiful spaces of Sassafraz restaurant from 6pm to 9pm.

The purpose of this annual event in Toronto is to bring together successful professionals of Macedonian origin, in order for them to expand their network and discuss potential business opportunities. Participants will also get better acquainted with Macedonia2025 programs and all the possibilities for becoming a part of it, highlighting the importance of giving back to the country and keeping the links with the motherland This is one of those events where we want to share some of our successes, inviting people to join our mission and vision.

Macedonia2025 Organizes Study Tour and Trade Mission in Armena

Macedonia 2025 organizes Study Tour and Trade Mission for the first time in Armenia, which will take place from 20th to 25th August. After the last Macedonia2025 Summit, our keynote speaker, Mr. Ruben Vardanyan – Armenian-Russian impact investor and social entrepreneur, was indeed impressed from Macedonia and the event, thus inviting us to explore and further expand the cooperation and friendship with Armenia.

The program for the study tour is quite rich with various field visits to companies, B2B meetings, Business Forum and many visits to cultural and historic places in Armenia.  Please find the Official Program Agenda on the following link HERE.

Macedonia2025 Completed Another Successful Edition of the LEADER Project

18 May marked the completion of the 11th edition of the LEADER project – free-of-charge 10-day MBA workshop, where after finishing the final presentations, participants obtained certificates from the renowned Richard Ivey School of Business in London, Ontario – Canada.

Olga Rajchik was the participant who won the first place for the idea EcoGrower “ 100% natural and organic fertilizer. The second place was awarded to Todor Panev for an idea connected to e-commerce, while Maja Kostovska won the third place for a socially responsible business.

 “I am glad that the jury demonstrated trust in the product that we want to launch on the Macedonian and foreign market. I hope that this will be a stepping stone for my idea and will help me contribute to the development of the Macedonian agriculture and generally for the company where I work.” – stated Olga Rajchik, the winner of this year’s competition.

Macedonia2025 Executive Director – Biljana Markovic Stamenova emphasized that through the support of Macedonia2025, both Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have started implementing the LEADER project in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

“We are delighted to announce that for the first time this year the three winners from Macedonia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina will have a chance to jointly present their business ideas in front of a regional and international jury, thanks to the project financed by the Western Balkans Fund. This will significantly enhance the visibility, content and the very impact of the program”. – highlighted Markovic Stamenova.

As part of the activities of the project “Strengthening of Cross-border Cooperation and Relations in the Western Balkans through People to People Contact of Young Entrepreneurs“, the nine winners will first present their business ideas on 22ndJune in Belgrade (Serbia), then on 9th August in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and finally they will meet again on 7th November in Skopje (Macedonia) during the Macedonia2025 Summit.

Apart from the opportunity for joint regional presentation, the LEADER Project winners have also been awarded with free tickets for the upcoming Macedonia2025 Summit

Celebrating Business Success and Leadership: LEADER Project Networking Event

On May 10, Macedonia2025 organized the LEADER Project Networking Event in the presence of wide array of guests, organizational members, supporters, corporate partners, in-kind sponsors, current LEADER project participants, LEADER project alumni.

All MK2025 leadership development programs have been consistently and continuously endorsed by the Canadian Embassy.  On that occasion, Her Excellency, Mrs. Kati Csaba – Ambassador to Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro gave an opening address, stating that “LEADER is an amazing program that supports entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs in developing the skills and competitiveness necessary for them to compete in a free-market environment.”

The essential benefit of the program is the encouragement to the people to take the destiny in their hands, which is a pre-condition to develop a sustainable economy in Macedonia. “– highlighted Mr. Wolfgang Maringer, LEADER Project Chair and General Director of Arcelor Mittal, Skopje – Macedonia.

Through the support of Macedonia2025, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have started implementing the LEADER project in 2016 and 2017 respectively. What is more, Macedonia2025 Executive Director – Biljana Markovic Stamenova informed that for the first time the LEADER Project takes a joint regional approach, enhancing its content, impact and visibility. “This year, the three winners from the three different sites will have the chance to pitch their business ideas together in front of regional and international jury.” – emphasized Markovic Stamenova.

This has been enabled thanks to the project “Strengthening of Cross-border Cooperation and Relations in the Western Balkans through People to People Contact of Young Entrepreneurs“, funded by the Western Balkans Fund. As part of the project activities, the nine winners will first present their business ideas in Belgrade (Serbia) on 22nd June, then on 9th August they will be going to Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and finally they will meet again in Skopje (Macedonia) on 7th November, as part of the Macedonia2025 Summit. This will provide them with an enhanced opportunity for regional exposure.

Macedonia2025 Business Forum in Belgrade in partnership with CANSEE

On behalf of John Bitove Jr – Event Chair and Co-founder of Macedonia2025, we cordially invite you to our upcoming Business Forum in Belgrade, Serbia on 22nd June from 10am to 3pm, at the newly opened Hilton Hotel. The event is organized by Macedonia2025 in partnership with CANSEE (Canadian Serbian Business Association).

The purpose of the event is to inspire networking and cooperation between companies and individuals in Macedonia, Serbia and the region, in the areas of foreign investments, agri-business, regional tourism capacities, responsible mining, renewable energies and smart technologies.  Around 100 distinguished guests from renowned companies, institutions and organizations from Macedonia, Serbia and SEE are expected to join the Forum, as we deepen the collaboration among the companies in the region. A number of Board Members of Macedonia2025 and CANSEE will participate as speakers or attendees as well.

Special emphasis will be placed on sharing best CRS practices across the region through addresses of representatives from well-acclaimed corporations like Nevsun Resources Ltd., Delta Holding and Apatinska Brewery. Distinguished speakers like Ana Koeshall – Executive Director at Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation and Filip Luneski – President of Macedonian Business Association in Serbia will also provide valuable inspirational insights of successful Macedonians in Serbia.  After the end of the official program, there will be a Networking Cocktail, hosted by HE Kati Csaba – Canada’s Ambassador to Serbia, Macedonia and Montenegro, at the Canadian Residence in Belgrade.

Prior the event, on 21st Juneparticipants will also have the chance of attending Belgrade boat tour – Daily Cruising on Dunav and Sava rivers. Attendance will be free of charge. Working language of the Forum will be English. Agenda will be sent to all registered participants 10 days before the event.
